      Let’s continue the mermaid theme this month with this parody of one of my favorite paintings in the National Gallery of Art: Watson and the Shark by John Singleton Copley.
 
      It’s May again, which means I finally get to draw the mermaid-related Ben & Winslow comic ideas that have been kicking around in my head since *checks calendar* seven days ago. So let’s get started, shall we? Ben and Winslow even have a boat in this one!
 
      Sometimes I, too, wish I had some kind of ray to solve all of my problems, but I’m not as resourceful (or petty) as Winslow, so I have to make do with passive aggressive daydreams.
 
      Winslow has a variety of things living on or in his body, but I think the people are getting tinier…
 
      Sometimes I draw comics just so I can test out new facial expressions. I kind of like what Ben’s got going on here.
