The world is infested with clowns, so it shouldn’t surprise anyone that there are clown lawyers running around.

I don’t think anyone doubted that Winslow would return–he’s exploded before, after all. It was all a matter of how. Winslow seems like the kind of guy that would fake his own death and allow his friends to organize a funeral, all to pull off a terribly anticlimactic practical joke.

(The original title of this was going to be “What’s in the Box?” but I went for something a little fancier. The legal term habeas corpus literally means “you may have the body,” which I think works here on many levels. A little highbrow humor to offset the thrown pie…)
