I know, based on an actual poll I took, that Ben & Winslow readers are pretty evenly split (with a surprising 7% identifying as a gender more complicated than simply male or female). That tells me that whatever it is I’ve been doing all these years has appealed to everyone pretty equally, which makes me pretty happy. But to all the women out there reading this comic… don’t you hate how the entertainment industry automatically assumes that a story needs some sort of romance element to keep your attention? Like, Hollywood will make an action movie, and then say, “You know what? We need women to see this movie, too. Let’s add a love story.” Because women aren’t interested in anything else. It must be all those emotions you have sloshing around inside your bodies.

I feel really bad for Winslow. People really seem to enjoy the Winslow/Dr. Spiderqueen pairing, and I can’t help screwing around with my own characters, leading to things like this. Muahahahahaha!

(Seriously, though, this is the most sexual thing I’ve drawn. Yowza!)
