Let me tell you, folks: telling a small child that their parents are mortal is one of the cruelest things you can possibly do. They just don’t understand the concept of death well enough to react in any other way than tears or screaming or stunned silence. So of course, Winslow is doing exactly that.

This is the first time I’ve ever drawn the father of the child that has, over time, become known to Ben & Winslow fans as simply “the hippo kid.” Also, I felt like drawing the characters in the rain for no other reason than I don’t draw weather very often.
