12052014 Life's Value

———–

I drew this after going to Costco and realizing that a rotisserie chicken and a bag of tortilla chips cost the same amount of money. To me, that’s mind boggling. Maybe I’m in the minority here, but I think an animal is worth a lot more that a pile of corn. Weird.

I actually drew this month and months and months ago. So long ago, in fact, that Laura was wearing clothes that wouldn’t make any sense in this chilly winter weather we’ve been having. So I had to change her into a sweater (which is fine, because she wears sweaters a lot). I didn’t change what the other guys were wearing. They seem to be fine no matter the temperature outside.

Andrew Kaye (known in some circles as AK) is the creator of Ben & Winslow and other questionable comics, many of which can be found in his deviantART gallery and his Tumblr. He’s also the editor-in-chief of this magazine. Duh?
