And now the regret kicks in…. And the fear.
We’ve all been here, folks. You end up smooching someone, and then you realize that they’re really a giant anthropomorphic spider person. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve seen a tweet or a Facebook update that laments this very problem. And young people? I know you’re young and impulsive and liable to kiss anything with a tongue, but you really need to pick your smooch-buddies carefully. You don’t want to end up like Winslow.
Note: The mouthparts of spiders aren’t actually called mandibles, but the real word for them–chelicerae–is probably not something you’d hear outside a biology lecture. Just bringing that up so the spider experts out there know I’m not making a mistake. It was a conscious decision. :)
