I admit that today’s strip is pretty ridiculous. But I won’t apologize for it. It was created at the last minute from the molten gray matter bubbling at my brain’s core, and when forging something from such raw, elemental materials you can’t stop.

I don’t know how many of you actually give two damns about the creative process behind these comics, but I’ll share this with you anyway. This strip didn’t exist a few days ago. The idea didn’t exist a few days ago. Originally, I had planned to do a three-comic story arc about Winslow and a meteorite. Then one of the strips got too big and had to be split into two, making it a four-comic story arc. After finishing the first strip on Sunday, I realized I didn’t really want to start things off there. I wanted to do something stupid with shooting stars.

So here it is. Something stupid with shooting stars. :)
