The dialogue in today’s strip is absolutely real. I heard it at a local Burger King several months ago (which just goes to show how long I’ve waited before uploading this).

Basically, the manager of this particular Burger King is a fast-food stereotype: short, overweight, balding, pasty, and greasier than the hamburgers. The poor guy was probably in his mid-thirties but looked like he was ten years older. His staff consisted entirely of teenagers, and it was easy to see that they didn’t take this guy seriously. Case in point: With his manager standing right next to him, the teen running the register told the customer in front of me that the deluxe meal “came in this bullshit.” And the manager said nothing. The register drone really did ask for a break and really did give his reason as “‘Cause I’ve been here since four, muthafucka.” To his manager. In a restaurant full of customers. And all the manager said in reply was the meekest “Watch your mouth” I’ve ever heard.

Which to me is worthy of immortalizing in a comic. :)
