Every summer, ants find new ways into my house, and every summer I’m reduced to chemical warfare. While spraying ant killer under the kitchen sink a few weeks ago, I thought, “Wouldn’t it be nice if I had some way to scare the ants away, without having to spray chemicals all over my house?” One thing led to another, and this comic was born.
History buffs will recognize the last panel as being a parody of a famous woodcut of Vlad the Impaler dining among impaled corpses. All that stuff on the ground is supposed to be carpet. I can draw insectoid renditions of Medieval European artwork, but carpet eludes me, apparently.

Andrew Kaye (known in some circles as AK) is the creator of Ben & Winslow and other questionable comics, many of which can be found in his deviantART gallery. He’s also the editor-in-chief of this magazine. Duh?
