One thing I hate about long-running cartoons is when the creators/writers/producers feel extra characters are necessary to freshen things up. Previously unknown and unheard of family members are the worst (Stanley SquarePants, I’m looking at you). So for this comic, instead of introducing Winslow’s brother Conrad, I introduced him AND killed him off. Everybody wins.

The fellow with the beer belly and three-day stubble is Winslow’s step-father. Winslow’s real father is unknown. His mother was a notorious groupie in the 60s and 70s. According to the stories his mother told him, he was conceived at a Led Zeppelin concert.

I always wanted to be a professional ne’er-do-well.
