Jonny Hawkins was raised in a trailer on the side of a West Virginia mountain along with his 4 siblings.  His dream to be a cartoonist took root and as a college kid, he sold his first single panel piece to a religious publication for $15 in 1986. Since then, his work has appeared in over 600 publications like Reader’s Digest, Parade Magazine, Forbes, Barron’s and in 76 Chicken Soup for the Soul books. He lives in Sherwood, Mi with his wife and 3 kids, dog and cats and creates 5 annual Cartoon a Day calendars (Andrews McMeel) and has drawn over 40,000 cartoons.
