This is an incredibly stupid portmanteau, but my son thought the idea was pretty cool. He calls it a “dinosaur car.” That term lacks the poetry of “velocitractor,” but he’s still learning.

I want to point out that I’m a huge dinosaur nerd, and that I know that the dinosaur portions of the velocitractor 1) don’t look like a velociraptor and 2) don’t look like any known dinosaur species. That isn’t really the point, of course, but I don’t want people getting on my case about paleontology. Annie just made a dinosaur/tractor hybrid. That’s as scientific as this strip is ever going to get.
