“The Ten-Foot Pole Store,” by Jim George

Ten-Foot Poles
Now on sale!
Stop on down
To 10th & Dale.
They’re just the thing
(And don’t cost much)
For all the things
You wouldn’t touch.
Assorted colors
Sized the same—
Ten-foot tall
(As per the name).
They’re two for one
So you won’t fear
Twice the things
You won’t go near.
Don’t be fooled
By other sizes;
Five-foot poles
Are compromises.
Avoidance is
Good for the soul,
And nothing says it
Like a pole.
