“100% Serengeti Juice” and “Unmitigated Gaul”
By Norman Ball
100% Serengeti Juice
I like my fresh giraffe
served pint-sized by carafe.
Although a well-squeezed cheetah
pours better by the liter.
Unmitigated Gaul (est divisa in partçs trçs)
Frog legs today.
The torso tomorrow.
As for serving the ass,
how much cheek can one swallow?

Norman Ball received a BA degree from Washington and Lee University and an MBA degree from The George Washington University. His plans for post-graduate study were thwarted when a watchdog group falsely accused him of stalking the Father of Our Country under academic pretense. He currently lives in a tin shack adjacent to Mount Vernon with his English sheep dog, Martha. Despite the inadequate lighting, Norm's had over seventy articles, essays and poems published over the last few years in such august journals (and september ones occasionally too) as Main Street Rag, LIGHT Quarterly, Rattle, The Raintown Review, Liberty and ByLine magazine. A song writer too, his 'Good Books' song will be appearing in the upcoming Justice Through Music Project's (JTMP's) DVD with Neil Young. His song 'Cash Me Out' has been optioned by Bob Johnston, legendary producer of Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen. (How's that for
name-dropping, huh?) See Norm's latest music video 'Spill My Wine (Fallujah)" with one of his groups, Razorwire n' Voodoo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ri0s2mAFYRs |
