Spiritus frugi

This is, believe it or not, a carrot. In the carrot world, this particular specimen is suffering from bad “carrot karma,” and has transformed into something… weird.

I asked the photographer what she thought: “I love grilled hotdogs. When I look at the carrot I see an orange hotdog in an orange bun. Yummy! It also reminds me of some other things but I shan't say which things in polite company.”
