10172014 Epic, Vaguely Medieval Showdown

———–

When Winslow’s creates a golem to protect himself from the Moustache Wizard–who’s actually a pretty nice guy when you get to know him–things get a little carried away. The resulting battle, in which Winslow and his friends battle the Moustache Wizard and the Great Mustachioed Horde, was recreated with Hollywood movie magic.

This is my fifth “movie preview” comic. I’ve tried to match each of these up with a different move genre (or sub-genre). So we have Cartoon Zombie Freakout (zombie movie), Ninja Apocalypse Fandango (martial arts movie), and Bikini Robot A-Go-Go! (beach party movie), and Giant Radioactive Kaiju Sandwich Armageddon (giant monster movie). This time we have a fantasy movie of some sort. These comics are always a monumental pain in the ass to draw, but I like the chaos of them all. I tried to fit as many Ben & Winslow characters in here as I could.

This is the comic Quentin Sadguy tries to hyperlink, by the way: Wizardman.

Andrew Kaye (known in some circles as AK) is the creator of Ben & Winslow and other questionable comics, many of which can be found in his deviantART gallery and his Tumblr. He’s also the editor-in-chief of this magazine. Duh?
