I wanted to create a strip that gives a “recap” of what’s happened in all the “episodes” so far, without using anything that actually happened in any strips from last year. The result reads like a series of clips from a single, seemingly continuous story that, in actuality, makes very little sense.

The idea for this one came from all the Buffy the Vampire Slayer I’ve been watching lately. Most episodes start with a “Previously on Buffy the Vampire Slayer….” segment. By season five, the storyline becomes so complex that the pre-show recap is long enough to be an episode in its own right. Well, maybe not that long.

Panel four is actually a scene that appeared in recaps at the beginning of nearly every Buffy episode in season 5. The rest is just pure random stupidity. But admit it: You love Robot Ben.
